Climber Stone Ornament
A modern design. The idea came to me as I watched people climb artificial rock in a climbing gym; to have an artificial climber following a crack up a real rock. The tricky part is finding a piece of rock with an outcrop or crack that the "climber" can hang onto.
Smaller versions of my wall hanging stones, these are sized to fit on a tree, window shade pull, lamp base, you name it. They are painted on the front only, with a "d"-ring attached to the back and a leather cord included. It is signed on the back to keep up the illusion of being a lost fragment of prehistoric art.
About the stone...
This ornament measures 4.25" wide by 3.5" high with a leather cord that extends up another 5". The stone is a piece of California quartzite that is a shiny silvery white with a hint of gold and tiny black "freckles".
