Bear Stone Ornament
The design is my own composition based on paleolithic cave art of France. Burnt umber paint is airbrushed and hand-painted on to a beautiful piece of sandstone. Then I carve lines in to the surface for detail. The pigment is earth-based, so this painting could survive for 15,000 years, just like the first cave art. The sandstone color is bronze and dark cream with a lot of silver mica shimmer.
About the ornament...
This piece of sandstone has a lustrous bronze surface with areas of silver mica shine. The Ornament measures 4" x 3". The ornament has a "d" ring on the back is painted on one side only. The ornament is wrapped in tissue inside a sheer gift bag with a brief card describing the art and techniques.
