Lascaux Pony

Airbrush on Quartzite

Size varies by stone; approx. 10" x 8" (25.4 cm x 20.3 cm)

This is a reproduction of a Lascaux horse as I imagine it might have looked, freshly painted 15,000 years ago. Iron oxide and black manganese paint are blown and hand-painted onto the stone, recreating in miniature the art techniques of the first artists.
