Cave of Chauvet web site
The art in this cave is interesting because of its age, over 32,000 years old, and the care that the French government is taking in preserving it. One reason I started experimenting in cave art was to make crumbling old paintings look new, but the paintings of Chauvet look like they were created tens of years ago, not thousands.

Put together by the European Union, this site gives you a lot of information about areas of cave art as well as art. It covers the usual France and Spain, but also covers cave sites in Portugal, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, and Italy.

The Bradshaw Foundation's primary objective is to discover, document and preserve ancient rock art around the world, and promote the study of early mankind’s artistic achievements. Their web site has many beautiful photos of cave art and information about rock art.

Not paleolithic, but the tombs of the pharoahs are cave-like, and this site is just an amazing accomplishment.

Trust for African Rock Art
As amazing as it is that any open air rock art can survive, some of the sites in Africa are being vandalized as quickly as they are being discovered. This trust promotes the art and tries to conserve it throughout Africa.
